Welcome to the FMCG Institute
The FMCG Institute is an international organisation serving FMCG manufacturers worldwide. We collaborate with manufacturers and related parties to share expertise and best practices, to identify and discuss common challenges, and to pool intelligence about the market in order to aid forward planning and reduce uncertainty and risk. Our members are a diverse mix of international and national companies participating in virtually every grocery category. Collectively, they possess a huge body of knowledge and expertise.
What do we do?
SENIOR Executive forums
The impetus of the FMCG Institute’s work comes from our regular senior executive forums. At each of our forums we bring together leading executives and facilitate open and in-depth discussion between them on key industry issues. Our members meet with local peers on a regular basis, but also gain a global perspectives on the industry by being part of our international community of senior executives from leading companies around the world.
Deep dive reports
We are committed to challenging entrenched ways of thinking and helping our members build a rich and complex understanding of our industry. Guided by our Fellows, we schedule four deep dive research projects per year. These deep dives explore the current state of the industry both worldwide and in specific markets, ranging from identifying emerging trends to highlighting best practice to helping members to create a blueprint for the future of their own organisations. Our deep dives also provide the themes for our quarterly forums.
masterclasses
We collaborate with partner organisations to deliver a variety of training resources specifically developed for our members. Our global masterclass, for example, is an annual seminar held with a select group of delegates nominated by our members. This programme brings together a diversity of skilled and experienced participants, aiming both to disseminate the best current knowledge and to stimulate new ideas for the future. This seminar is filmed and subsequently made available to all members as a video training package. Our 2018/19 topic is Rethinking Trading Strategy.

Our membership is a who’s who of the FMCG Industry. We currently have members in the US, the UK, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
